How protection works on every shipment

We don't own the trucks — we broker your shipment to licensed carriers. And we don't cut corners on insurance. Here's the process, step by step.

1

We Book the Carrier

As your broker, we select a licensed motor carrier to transport your vehicle.

2

Carrier Must Have Insurance

Every carrier is required by law to carry active cargo insurance. No insurance, no dispatch.

3

We Verify It

Our team verifies the carrier's certificate of insurance and FMCSA authority before your vehicle moves.

4

Add Stand-Alone Policy

Optionally purchase Shipper's Interest — a separate policy purchased on your behalf, independent of the carrier.

Two separate layers of protection

Carrier insurance is always there — we make sure of it. Shipper's Interest is a stand-alone policy purchased on your behalf.

Layer 1 — Included

Carrier's Cargo Insurance

Every motor carrier we book is required by law to carry cargo insurance. We verify active coverage and FMCSA authority before dispatching any load. In the event of damage, the carrier’s insurance is always used first.
  • Required on every shipment — no exceptions
  • Verified by our team before dispatch
  • We confirm certificate of insurance on file
  • Carrier files and manages the claim
  • Included at no extra cost to you
Layer 2 — Stand-Alone Policy

Shipper's Interest Insurance

This is a stand-alone policy purchased by AAALL States Auto Transport on your behalf through our carrier platform via Tint’s TrustedTransport™ program. It protects your financial interest in the vehicle — completely independent of the carrier’s insurance. You file your own claim, on your terms.
  • Stand-alone policy — separate from the carrier
  • Separate policy, your own claim
  • Only $100 deductible
  • Coverage up to $200,000 per vehicle
  • Covers loading, transit, stops & delivery

Why add Shipper's Interest coverage?

Your Own Claim

File directly with the insurance company — no waiting on the carrier to cooperate or respond.

A-Rated Carrier

Underwritten by a top-rated insurance carrier. Real coverage, not a waiver or liability limitation.

$100 Deductible

Most cargo policies have deductibles of $2,500+. This policy keeps it at just $100.

Door-to-Door

Coverage is active from the moment the carrier moves your vehicle through final delivery.

Independent of Carrier

Carrier insurance is used first. This is a separate policy — a second layer of financial protection.

Peace of Mind

Transit damage happens. This ensures you're never left fighting a carrier's insurance company alone.

How it works

1

Enter your vehicle details

Provide the year, make, model, and estimated value of your vehicle in our checkout form.

2

Add Shipper's Interest coverage

Add the insurance to your order. Your premium is calculated based on your vehicle's declared value.

3

We purchase the policy on your behalf

Once you add the coverage to your order and sign, AAALL States Auto Transport purchases the Shipper's Interest policy on your behalf through Tint's TrustedTransport™ program.

4

If damage occurs, file a claim

File a claim directly. The claims team responds quickly and handles everything digitally — no faxes, no runaround.

Before your vehicle ships — inspect it

The Bill of Lading is the legal record of your vehicle's condition. Learn exactly how to document it so your claim is never denied.

We verify carrier insurance on every load

As a licensed auto transport broker, we require every carrier to maintain active cargo insurance. We verify insurance certificates and FMCSA authority before any vehicle is dispatched. The carrier’s insurance is always the first line of defense. Shipper’s Interest coverage is a stand-alone, separate policy purchased by AAALL States Auto Transport on your behalf through our carrier platform — putting you in control of your own claim.
